Our Story
Engineering clarity for roasting equipment decisions
RoastVector was founded in Calgary's Ramsay district by operators who had lived through the capital equipment gamble — buying a production drum roaster based on showroom charm rather than documented heat transfer data, then discovering airflow design gaps six months into operation. We built the studio we wished had existed: a place where spec sheets are compared honestly, payback models show their assumptions and roasting launch timelines are coordinated with mechanical reality.
Our team combines backgrounds in specialty coffee operations, mechanical systems and capital planning. We are not a restaurant group, not a food-delivery platform and not a franchise seller. We advise café owners and roasting-company founders on industrial roaster selection, sample roaster procurement, green-bean throughput planning and installation coordination — always with transparent, engineering-direct communication.
Team
Advisory roles
Lead Equipment Consultant — Industrial roaster comparison, spec sheet normalization and heat exchanger analysis. Oversees our 48+ model index and roaster shortlist delivery.
Capital Modelling Analyst — ROI calculator development, payback period scenarios and green-bean throughput sensitivity analysis for Canadian market conditions.
Launch Programme Manager — Micro-roastery setup coordination, installation planning timelines and post-install calibration review scheduling.
Airflow & Installation Specialist — Ventilation design review, production line layout assessment and mechanical contractor liaison.
Ramsay Corridor
1st Street SE — Calgary's industrial coffee strip
Our studio at 2055 1st Street SE, Suite 308 sits in the Ramsay equipment corridor — a practical address for B2B coffee equipment meetings, spec consultation sessions and equipment showroom visits. The neighbourhood connects roasting companies, café operators and equipment distributors across Calgary's specialty coffee ecosystem. We chose this location because equipment decisions deserve a workspace that feels like a engineering lab, not a marketing agency boardroom.
Visitors are welcome by appointment Monday through Friday, 08:30–17:00 Mountain Time. Remote consultations are available for clients across Canada who need roasting advisory without travelling to Alberta.
Important clarification: We are not a restaurant, food-delivery platform or franchise seller. RoastVector provides coffee equipment selection and roasting launch consultancy only. We do not serve meals, operate delivery routes or license franchise brands.

Book a visitRoastVector maintains independent relationships with drum roaster manufacturers across Europe and North America, updating specification indexes when batch capacity ratings or heat exchanger designs change. Our Calgary clients include micro-roastery founders transitioning from sample roasters to production equipment, café groups evaluating in-house roasting for multiple locations, and roasting-company operators planning second production lines. Each engagement documents assumptions explicitly so your team can revisit payback models as green coffee costs and energy tariffs shift throughout the year.
