Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to roastvector.pro and your use of advisory services provided by RoastVector Inc. ("RoastVector," "we," "us" or "our"). By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our website or services.

1. About our services

RoastVector provides specialty coffee roasting equipment advisory services from our Calgary, Alberta studio. Our offerings include industrial drum roaster comparison, sample roaster selection guidance, ROI payback modelling, green-bean throughput planning, installation coordination and roasting launch consultancy. We are an independent advisory studio — not a restaurant, food-delivery operator, coffee franchise licensor, equipment dealer or manufacturer representative unless explicitly stated in a written engagement letter.

2. Eligibility

Our services are intended for business operators, café owners, roasting-company founders and industry professionals who are at least 18 years of age. By using our services, you represent that you have authority to bind any business entity on whose behalf you engage RoastVector.

3. Website use

You may browse roastvector.pro for informational purposes related to roasting equipment advisory. You agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Canadian law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers, systems or data
  • Scrape, copy or redistribute website content without written permission
  • Submit false information through our contact form or misrepresent your identity
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the website or associated infrastructure

We reserve the right to restrict access to the website at our discretion for security or operational reasons.

4. Advisory engagements

Specific advisory programmes and services are described on roastvector.pro. A binding engagement requires a signed proposal or written agreement specifying scope, deliverables, fees in Canadian dollars (CAD) and timeline. Website descriptions are illustrative; final terms are set in the engagement document. We reserve the right to decline engagements outside our expertise or capacity.

5. Fees and payment

Programme and service fees are quoted in CAD unless otherwise stated. Payment terms are specified in the engagement agreement. Late payments may incur interest at the rate permitted by Alberta law. We are not responsible for currency conversion costs incurred by international clients. All fees are exclusive of applicable GST/HST unless stated otherwise.

6. No guarantees — advisory disclaimer

RoastVector provides information, analysis and recommendations for advisory purposes. We do not guarantee:

  • Specific financial returns, payback periods or ROI outcomes from roasting equipment investments
  • Equipment performance meeting manufacturer spec sheet ratings in all operating conditions
  • Regulatory approvals, permits or health authority compliance for your facility
  • Manufacturer lead times, pricing or warranty terms
  • Successful roasting launch, revenue growth or business profitability
  • Restaurant revenue, food-delivery performance or franchise success (we do not offer these services)

ROI calculators and payback models use assumptions you provide or that we document collaboratively. Actual results depend on volume, pricing, energy costs, operator skill, roast profile development and market conditions. You are solely responsible for capital equipment purchase decisions.

7. Coffee quality and safety disclaimer

Our content covers specialty coffee roasting equipment selection, payback modelling and launch consultancy for informational and advisory purposes. ROI estimates and roaster comparisons reflect illustrative assumptions — individual results vary with volume, pricing, energy costs and operating decisions. We do not guarantee specific business, health or financial outcomes. We do not sell restaurant meals, franchise licences or food delivery services. Green coffee and roasted coffee should be handled and stored safely. Food safety compliance remains your responsibility as the operator.

8. Intellectual property

All content on roastvector.pro, including text, comparison frameworks, ROI model structures, logos, design elements and advisory templates, is owned by RoastVector Inc. or licensed to us. Engagement deliverables are provided for your internal business use. You may not resell, publish or redistribute our proprietary frameworks without written consent. Spec sheets and manufacturer data referenced in deliverables remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Confidentiality

We treat client project information as confidential and do not disclose it to third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy or with your authorisation. You agree to keep our proprietary methodologies and non-public deliverables confidential. This obligation survives termination of the engagement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Alberta law, RoastVector Inc., its directors, officers, employees and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or advisory services, including lost profits, equipment downtime, business interruption or capital losses from equipment purchases. Our total liability for any claim arising from an engagement shall not exceed the fees paid by you for that specific engagement in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RoastVector Inc. from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the website, violation of these Terms, equipment purchase decisions made based on our advisory input, or your failure to comply with applicable laws including food safety and workplace safety regulations.

12. Third-party relationships

We may recommend or coordinate with roaster manufacturers, distributors, mechanical contractors and other third parties. We are not a party to your contracts with these parties and bear no responsibility for their performance, pricing or warranties. Any referral is advisory only and does not constitute an endorsement unless explicitly stated in writing.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta for disputes arising from these Terms or our services.

14. Dispute resolution

Before initiating legal proceedings, parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution through direct negotiation for thirty days. If unresolved, either party may pursue remedies available under Alberta law.

15. Termination

Either party may terminate an advisory engagement according to the terms of the engagement agreement. We may suspend website access or refuse future engagements if you breach these Terms. Provisions that by nature should survive termination — including confidentiality, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law — shall survive.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" and "Effective from" dates indicate the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of roastvector.pro after changes constitutes acceptance. Active engagements are governed by the Terms in effect at the time of signing unless otherwise agreed.
